FAQs

How do I measure a cubic metre?
Simply measure the length of the pile of rubbish x the height of the pile of rubbish x the width of the pile of rubbish. Or, if you can imagine how much space the average family car takes up and fitting all your rubbish into this space then you would have about 6-7 cubic metres.

Is there a set amount I have to book in?
No. We simply need to have an idea of how much rubbish you will have on the day so we can fit the rubbish on the right sized truck/s and to allow enough time for us to get to our next customers. Once we have seen all the rubbish we will give you a fixed price. If you are happy with the price we will take it all away. Our prices listed on the pricing page are all inclusive and include all labour for general and green waste ONLY, tip fees etc. (General and green waste is $55.00 per cubic metre + gst. Building materials waste cost $90.00m3 + gst. We also offer walk in skip bins ranging from 4m3 to 38m3.)

Do you recycle?
Yes. Whenever and wherever we can. Some materials however, reach their end of cycle and unfortunately cannot be recycled at present. For example, timber laminate with glue. Generally speaking, recycling keeps our costs down which we are then able to pass on to you. At present, some examples of the items we recycle include timbers, steel, cardboard, plastic and polystyrene, rubber, fabric, greenwaste, bricks, concrete and soil.

How far in advance do I need to book?
Generally speaking, some jobs can be done the same day. Other jobs will need to be booked in about 1-2 days before. This is subject to the size and nature of the job.

Do you work on weekends?
Yes. We operate 7 days a week for your convenience. Our hours are 8.00 am to 8.00pm.

Do you take any rubbish?
We take everything except for hazardous goods eg asbestos, paint, chemicals. We also currently only take limited amounts of building waste. We do, however, have skip bins for removal of unlimited quantities of concrete, bricks or soil.

What areas do you service?
A1 Cheapest Rubbish Removals services Melbourne CBD and surrounding inner suburbs. Please refer to our location guide.

What are the benefits of rubbish removal versus bin hire or skip hire?
With us you only pay for what we take away. There is no problems with ordering bins that are too small or too large. There is no need to pay additional fees for council permits. No problems with neighbours or people passing by filling your bin. No damage to your driveway or concrete with heavy steel bins. We also offer walk in skip bins for clean loads of concrete, bricks or soil. Bins range in size from 4m3 to 38m3.

How do I reduce the cost of mattress disposals
Simply, cut around the edges of the mattress to reveal the inner springs. Then separate the material form the inner springs. Ask the receptionist for more details when you call.

This will reduce the cost from $80.00 per mattress to about $30.

How can I pay for rubbish removal?
We accept cash, eftpos and credit cards. Direct credit, invoices and cheques by prior arrangement.
